Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant is presenting new products at “Milex-2021” 10th International Exhibition of Arms and Military Machinery. Some of them have never been shown to the general public before.
A heavy-duty road train consisting of MZKT-741501 semitrailer truck and MZKT-720100 semitrailer with a carrying capacity of up to 52 tons designed to transport wheeled and tracked armored vehicles such as BMP-2 infantry combat vehicle or battle tank of T-72 type. The truck is equipped with a double-drum winch by MZKT that allows loading and unloading damaged equipment. The road train has been developed by order of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus. In 2020, the road train took part in military equipment parade on May 9, but parade spectators did not have an opportunity to take a close look at the tank transporter. “MILEX-2021” will allow visitors to get a full picture of the novelties of local manufacture.
Other brand-new products of 2021 will also be exhibited:
MZKT-550130 tactical vehicle with 4x4 wheel formula (front axle wheels driving) has a two-seater cab located above the engine, a platform with a canopy and tailgate. Among the vehicle’s features there are: right-hand steering wheel, increased carrying capacity (up to 5000 kg), high-quality engine and gearbox, winch with increased traction force (up to 7 tons), air conditioner. At the end of January, the car was presented at press-show of equipment during the final forum of the State Committee for Military Industry, and is now ready to be exhibited.
However, the most expected novelty of MILEX-2021 is going to be a unique company’s development - the V-2 MZKT-690003 (8x8) infantry combat vehicle. ICV VOLAT is designed for transporting personnel to the place of combat task performance, fire support in battle, protection against small arms and explosive devices, suppression of counter force, anti-tank weapons, light armored vehicles, tanks and low-speed enemy air targets. The infantry combat vehicle has an all-welded armored hull with a ramp in the rear part and is equipped with the following systems: Combat Management System, CTIS, Run-Flat, filtering unit, fire extinguishing system, smoke removal system, video surveillance system, self-recovery winch. The 20-ton armored infantry combat vehicle has Br4 ballistic protection, mine protection STANAG 4569 of level 2a/2b, it can reach 10 km/h in water and 110 km/h on land. Powerful 550 hp engine, automatic transmission, 520 mm ground clearance, forced differential lock and diesel generator are included.
