On October 2 Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant held the board meeting of the State Authority for Military Industry of the Republic of Belarus, headed by the committee’s chairman Sergei Gurulev. The targets for the development of business plans for the elaboration of enterprises in 2016 were designated on the board meeting.
The plan for the future development of "MWTP" JSC for the years 2016-2020 includes the following strategic objectives:
- Search of new markets, maintaining stable position in existing markets, including the production of military-industrial complex of the Russian state defense order program;
- Improving the quality and efficiency of customer service;
- Comprehensive modernization, reconstruction and technical re-equipment of the Company;
- Improving the efficiency of production, quality and competitiveness of products;
- Developing new models of equipment.
It should be pointed out that the Belarusian government set a task to build light-armored vehicle for the needs of the security forces, the Interior Ministry, and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. In the I quarter of 2016 JSC "MWTP" presented model sample of light-armored vehicle for testing.
