On 9 February 2024, a meeting of the board of the department was held under the leadership of Dmitry Pantus, the Chairman of the State Committee of Military Industry, to sum up the results of the activities of the State Committee of Military Industry and organisations within its system for the year 2023.
At the VOLAT exhibition held within the framework of the meeting, a new modification of the lightly armoured vehicle MZKT-490100-317 and the Neman-420423-501 bus was presented to the participants and guests of the event.
MZKT-490100-317 was created as part of the expansion of the VOLAT line of lightly armored vehicles. Based on the customer’s operating experience, this configuration of the UAV was manufactured taking into account all the requirements for it, for the effective conduct of special operations and high protection of the crew.
The second sample presented at the exhibition site is the Neman-420423-501 bus, finished as a suburban version. The key differences of the novelty are related to the replacement of the previously used imported chassis with its own. When designing the product, the designers tried to preserve the recognisability of the Neman bus as much as possible. Previous experience in operating buses and consumer reviews were also taken into account.
The head of the arms department noted the success of our enterprise in 2023 and, as a result of the ongoing competition for the best development in the field of science and technology, Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant OJSC became the winner in the category “Best development in the interests of the national economy.”
