July 23, 2019 OJSC MWTP celebrates the anniversary of the enterprise, the 65th anniversary of its founding. On July 23, 1954, a special design bureau ("SKB") was organized on the territory of the Minsk Automobile Plant, which became the founder of the "Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant". This bureau was headed by the legendary Soviet designer Boris Lvovich Shaposhnik. The purpose of the bureau was to develop heavy and super-heavy equipment for the needs of the USSR army.
Today, Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant OJSC (TM VOLAT) is one of the world's leading companies specializing in the design and manufacture of special wheel chassis and tractors. The equipment of MWTP OJSC is successfully used in strategic missile forces, ground forces, air defense forces, radio intelligence, engineering troops and logistics services. Automobiles of MWTP OJSC are known for their high carrying capacity and excellent cross-country ability in various conditions on public roads and with complete impassability.
On July 26 on October Square in front of the Palace of the Republic, an exhibition-display of the equipment of the enterprise will be held.

On July 27 –the plant will open its doors for citizens. From 10:00 to 14:00 “Open Day” will be held, everyone can visit the territory of the enterprise.
Also, residents of the region will enjoy an evening gala concert with the participation of Belarusian pop stars. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the site in front of the factory entrance there will be: Olga Plotnikova, Olga Ryzhikova and Theo, Sasha Nemo, the Minsk Sea and By City groups. Free admission.
